UNTIL Suganesh was 12 years old and Annapoorna Trust started serving breakfast at his school, he would start his classes on an empty stomach. Donate just ₹3,000 to provide a day's breakfast to 300 students.

Many children from hard-up families go to school without breakfast every day. This affects their concentration and performance in class and takes a toll on their health. Even the meals that they do have at home usually lack proper nutrition.

To tackle this, the Trust's breakfast programme provides a free nutritious morning meal to 200,000 underprivileged children daily. You can help save children the pain of hunger.

All it takes is a little bit from everyone!

WHY FREE BREAKFAST MATTERS

Many say that breakfast is the most important meal - as the calorie intake in the morning sets one up for the day. For a school-going child, who has to concentrate and comprehend what is being taught in class, a nutrition-packed morning boost is important. The free breakfast service by Sri Satya Sai Annapoorna Trust has shown to have had a far reaching impact, including higher attendance, lower dropout rates and better academic performance.

Many underprivileged children often attend schools on empty stomachs.
THE PLAN

AT ₹10 per breakfast, ₹3lakh will provide 500 children free breakfast for 12 weeks, five days a week - covering costs of groceries, cooks, and admin. The Trust have chosen to start the service at government schools in Chikkaballapur. First the needy schools will be identified, the breakfast menus finalised with guidance from a nutritionist, groceries bought andto ensure the students get healthy food that improves their health.

Just ₹3,000 to provide a day's breakfast to 300 students.
