Focus: Education , Girl Child

61% Funded
HAVING grown up in adversity, Ashwini and Pratiksha want to join the civil service to create a better future - for others. Fund the coaching both girls need to crack the exams required to become IAS officers.

“My dream is to eradicate poverty,” says high-achieving Pratiksha, currently doing her second year BSc and a silver medalist national baseball player. Ashwini too is in her second year, doing B.Com before taking the UPSC exams to realise her dream - and her mum's - to become an IAS officer.

Both girls are being coached at Unique Institute of Higher Learning for the tough entrance exams. Help Aatmaja pay their fees @ ₹50k each.

All it takes is a little bit from everyone!

Support the ambitions of Ashwini and Pratiksha.

WHY EDUCATION FOR THE GIRLS MATTERS

For girls from disadvantaged backgrounds, education is often the best ticket to an independent life free from societal barriers. Since Pratiksha lost her father aged six, her mother has struggled to pay for her schooling. And Ashwini is one of three children her parents strive to educate on a meagre income - her father is a bus driver and her mum a domestic help. Both girls are academically brilliant and deserve a chance to fulfil their dreams.

Every year, Aatmaja supports the ambitions of girls from disadvantaged backgrounds.
THE PLAN

Aatmaja currently fund the girls’ college and extra class fees, plus books and transport. Both girls are in their second year and need to start their coaching for the tough UPSC exam soon. Once funded the Pratiksha and Ashwini will be able to undergo coaching and simultaneously undertake Aatmaja’s career counselling and special training to instil confidence and increase their employability.

The special training programme aims to increase their employability.
