Keep 46 girls in pink of health

Focus: Girl Child , Health

WHILE Jacindra* waits for 2 years on medical advice for surgery to rectify an issue with her eardrums, she is being treated with medication. Fund the health needs of 46 girls like Jacindra in Baale Mane's care.

Ensuring young girls have access to good healthcare is a crucial part of Baale Mane’s programme. Like Jacindra who has to wait till she is 15 to have the required ear operation, the other girls at Baale from time to time have health problems that need treatment.

Funds raised will provide 46 girls a year's healthcare needs, including medicines, checkups and sudden hospitalisation.

WHY HEALTHCARE FOR YOUNG GIRLS MATTERS:

Quality healthcare is important to young and adolescent girls. Only if they are healthy, will be able to flourish at school and in other activities. Kavitha* is a hard-working girl who studies in 10th standard. Recently, she had to go to the gynaecologist due to menstruation problems. This entailed scans, follow-ups and medicines which can be expensive. Donations help cover costs like these and make sure Baale girls get the best possible care.

Quality healthcare is crucial for the girls' well-being.
THE PLAN

The funds raised will be used for regular dental and eye care, gynaecologists’ fees and treatment, new spectacles and braces, vaccinations and unplanned hospital trips. The orphaned and abandoned girls at the home would also benefit from counselling sessions with a therapist. The target amount is an estimate amount required to cover healthcare costs for a year, including monthly check-up costs at ₹18,000 per month.

The funds raised will help provide healthcare for 46 girls.
