Just ₹1,400 will help one family affected by the cyclone

The impact update will be shared

Cyclone Fani made landfall in the coastal district of Puri and wiped out fishing villages, with more than 100 boats destroyed and 400 households affected. With lakhs of electric poles down and trees uprooted, darkness, limited mobile network and blocked roads have hampered basic necessities reaching bereft families - with Bhubhaneshwar, point of connectivity, also badly affected. Therefore immediate relief is the need of the hour.

Fishing villages have been wiped away

AJSA are in constant contact with the State Emergency Operation centre, who release data gathered from government surveillance to determine the disaster relief efforts needed. The funds will procure tarpaulin, ropes, solar light, sanitary napkins, cooking oil, dal, soap and shampoo to meet the immediate survival requirements of 400 fisherfolk families.
