TEN school-going girls at an orphanage have a range of cognitive disorders. At ₹2,500 per child per month, help weCan provide individually designed daily lessons to equip each with life skills.

All the girls, diagnosed with mild to moderate learning difficulties like autism, ADHD, cognitive impairment, Down syndrome or Aspergers, find mainstream education difficult.

The Individual Educational Plan that weCan prepare, help them reach their full potential, overcome and live with their challenges, improve their vocational activity, and be productive in their daily lives.

All it takes is a little bit from everyone!

Help raise money for the special needs orphan girls

WHY SPECIAL EDUCATION FOR THE GIRLS MATTERS

The girls are struggling to live a self-sufficient dignified life on a daily basis and, being orphans, without the security of a family structure, their cognitive challenges are magnified and prove a further obstacle. Special education tailored to meet each girl's special needs - which include one-to-one sessions balanced with group activities - will prepare them to lead independent and productive lives in the future.

They need to learn fundamental skills for a productive and less dependent life
THE PLAN

Every child will be assessed for baseline abilities and, according to individual needs, the educational plan will be designed - to fit in to two-hour daily classes - with quarterly and long term goals. Fun activities (dance, art and craft, music etc.) and training in activities of daily living (health, hygiene, grooming etc.) will also be included. There is an experienced team monitoring delivery, remediation and evaluation at every step.
