Stationery for ragpickers' kids
Focus: Children and Youth, Education
Thank you for your donation! People like you are creating a new generation of givers
Every ₹389 will cover the costs of one school kit. Help make their learning joyful!
This fundraiser has been extended until the end of the month. Support this cause so ragpickers' kids can have new stationery as they welcome in the New Year!
Poverty often deters parents from investing in their children's education, especially in things like school materials with recurring costs. Not being able to afford a new school bag and basic stationery at the start of an academic year can hinder a child's productivity and learning experience. New school kits provide young students the proper tools to learn with joy and dignity.THE PLAN
Each school kit @ ₹389 will include a school bag, geometry box, three pencils, eraser, sharpener, three notebooks, colouring book and a box of crayons. Based on the amount raised, Donatekart will procure the corresponding number of school kits and deliver them to Tiljala SHED within a week of getting the order confirmation and will be distributed to the children as per their needs.
WALKING long distances from home to high school has its dangers in rural India - especially for adolescent girls. Help IHMP buy 50 cycles at ₹4,000 each so girls can ride to school, instead of dropping out.
MOST in Calcutta Rescue's schools live below the poverty line and look forward to the nutritious lunch they're given. Give ₹253 - the price of two coffees - and buy a day's staples for a class of 30 children.
UP to 100 children of Mumbai’s red light district find refuge in AAWC’s shelter - especially at night. Fund hygiene and health kits for the safe care of innocent toddlers and young girls.
WOOLLENS come at a price - but should not cost a poor child her health. Help PPES gift a hat, gloves and socks under ₹400 a pack to all their 870 primary school girls to keep them warm, and well, this winter.
THE winter months are harsh in rural Uttar Pradesh. Riding to school at 6am on cycles provided by PPES, the older girls face chilly winds through moist, open fields. Protect them and gift windcheaters for Xmas.
