About the NGO
Kashyap Divya Jyoti Sewa Society
Their aim is to improve the quality of life of underserved communities through various programmes, including computer training in which currently more than 300 students are enrolled. Also to reduce the number of school dropouts, they organise awareness programmes that involve the parents, distribute education materials and provide free tuitions.
KDJSS also encourage women to enroll in classes and complete their education. At present, 40 women from Kirwani village are studying in primary school. Women and youth are also given vocational training in tailoring, making incense and paper packets.
They also ensure the rural communities have access to proper healthcare and conduct awareness and training camps which benefited more than 1,200 people last year.
When basic needs such as food are not fulfilled, children can’t focus on studies so last year, KDJSS ensured 2,600 students living in slums don’t go hungry to school by providing their families with groceries such as rice, flour, and pulses.
They also support farmers through training programmes about new techniques.
